Tennis Rules
Neither aggressive moves nor physical contact have anything to do with playing. This sport is widely enjoyed by both men and women to the same extent and therefore televisions broadcast it extensively all over the world. The game as such is not very difficult and rules are very easy to understand. first of all, rules say that it must be played in a {court with two sides and each of the opponents chooses one side|twos-sided court with each player choosing a sideDepending on the action on the court and the way they score, players are called differently. The one who serves the ball is called a server while the other is called the receiver. Tennis rules apply for single players or pairs/doubles. The rules will of course be much easier to understand and follow if the game is not played in pairs. When the server hits the ball he/she is required to remain behind the baseline on the deuce court. It is in the deuce court that players get the even points while the odd ones are taken in the advantage court. The server hits the ball, sends it to the receiver who in turn passes it back. A move is declared correct and valid when it bounces in the service box; but if the receiver hits the ball without letting it bounce first, then he

loses points. Very similarly, in case the ball does not bounce in the other player's service box, then it is considered a fault and the server needs to repeat his serve. According to rules, every scored point is counted in 15-equivalent units. Zero in is called love, two points mean 30 and three points mean 45 or the nowadays 40. The game is finished – either lost or won by one of the players – when the clock gets to zero again, that is love. In case the score reaches 40 – 40, a score known in rules as deuce, the winner needs score twice so as to win the game. Regarding winning, rules make the set winner the player that wins six by two games. Moreover, the match winner is the one who wins both sets; for shared score six more sets are played to decide the winner. In case the final set score is 6-6, they have to play a tie-breaker in which the score is no longer kept in 15, 30, 40 points but in ones. All in all, rules prove less complex than they seem. However their number is pretty high as it happens with every game. One could say that the more the rules, the more difficult to understand the game, but actually rules remain the guarantees that confusions and unpredicted situations are avoided.
